As winter sets in, UN-Habitat’s 2024 winterization interventions in the Gaza Strip are providing vital protection for 40,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs). Through the HAYA Joint Programme, families living in fragile conditions now benefit from stormwater barriers, upgraded shelter sites, and weather-resistant materials. These efforts aim to improve safety, health, and resilience for displaced Palestinian communities facing extreme weather and limited resources.
